As a result of the current national lockdown, the school is now closed to children from Reception to Year 6. Children in these year groups are now learning online from home. Live lessons with class teachers take place in the mornings with specialist lessons including Art, Yoga, Spanish and Music taking place during the afternoons. Assemblies are held on Mondays and Fridays.
Children attending nursery in Ducking and Cygnet classes can continue to come to school between the hours of 8.30 and 4.30pm.
For parents with children attending nursery, please continue to drop off and collect your child at the gates making sure you maintain 2m social distance with other parents. Please also ensure you wear a face covering at drop off and pick up.
Inside the nursery we continue with regular hand-washing on entering and leaving the building as well as throughout the day along with the regular cleaning of surfaces and learning resources. Nursery staff will also be wearing masks in communal areas as well as when they are in close proximity to the children.
To reduce transmission of the virus it is vital that anyone with Covid 19 symptoms, anyone who has tested positive in the last 10 days or anyone from the same household who has tested positive within the last 10 days does not attend.
All nursery staff will now be tested weekly using lateral flow tests.
If your child becomes unwell during the day you will be contacted and they must be collected and taken home immediately. You will be advised to follow the government guidance for households with possible or confirmed cases of Coronavirus.
Thank you very much for your continued support in this.
