Oaks International Nursery

Our warm and welcoming Nursery is located in the Early Years area of the Primary School.  This allows children from 2 – 4 years old the space to grow and thrive in a stimulating environment whilst providing the best introduction to learning.  There are two classes, Ducklings for 2 – 3 year olds and Cygnets for 3 – 4 year olds, allowing the children to have an age appropriate routine which will encourage your child to seek new challenges in a safe and caring environment.

Your child will be supervised and cared for by experienced and fully qualified Nursery and Early Years Practitioners and overseen by our Nursery Manager.  All carers are also experienced in working with children who have English as a Second Language

The Nursery Aims

  • To give each child a happy, positive, nurturing and fun start to their school life in which they can establish solid foundations on which to expand and foster a deep love of lifelong learning
  • To offer each child a wide range of new and exciting experiences and give them the opportunity to consolidate, explore and test them out along with their own, individual experiences
  • To enable each child, through encouragement and high expectations, to develop, to the full, socially, physically, intellectually, spiritually and emotionally.
Nursery Open Play Sessions

Smooth Transition into Reception

Nursery children start their Reception education the academic year in which they are 5 years old.  We work with parents / carers to ensure a supportive and smooth transition into full time education.

With transition, children will respond in different ways, some with confidence, and others with more apprehension. Children’s confidence will be enhanced when changes happen gradually and when time is prioritised to support these transitions with sensitive planning and preparation. Therefore, we include a wide range of supportive and independent activities to cater for all needs.
