Cherry Hinton Hall is home to the Nursery & Early Years (age 2 to 5 years), Infants (age 5 to 7 years) and Juniors (age 7 to 11 years). It is conveniently located on the edge of central Cambridge, making excellent use of the surrounding Cherry Hinton Park.
Cherry Hinton Hall has recently been refurbished to provide a light, modern and spacious environment for children to pursue their individual intellectual curiosities. They now learn in vibrant and stimulating surroundings, benefitting from our new outdoor learning area and Forest School curriculum, further enhancing their own unique learning and development.
Children attending the Primary school follow both the International Primary curriculum (IPC) and UK National curriculum. The IPC is a comprehensive, thematic, creative curriculum, with a clear process of learning and specific learning goals for every subject. It also develops international mindedness and encourages personal learning.
Teaching is in small classes and differentiated to stretch the more able child, while supporting children who may be finding a particular topic difficult. The primary school is supported by the SEND (Special Educational Needs Department) team, who provide additional support for children with specific learning needs.
Children who do not have English as a First Language can receive EAL lessons if required and can also be part of the Mother Tongue Programme, providing weekly lessons in their mother tongue language
